I miss not reading food labels.

When I didn’t know,

white bread was bad for you

Want low-fat? Sure!

Want low-carb? You have choices

Detest high fructose corn syrup?

Is cane sugar any better?

So many choices,

and not one clear winner.

Would I rather be ignorant?

I prefer not to be.

But, I don’t trust the marketing,

so I don’t want to care.

I’ll try common sense,

and not reading labels for a change.
