I design and ship production systems: AI products, cloud platforms, and consumer software used by millions. A sample of the work, most recent first.

InstaRoom.ai – A generative AI product for interior design, where I own the whole architecture: a two-step Gemini pipeline, the auth and session layer, and the data systems behind it. 250K+ generations at 99.7% uptime, after a full rebuild from the original Stable Diffusion XL and ControlNet stack. V1 is still live if you want to see where it started.
Designing Dreams: AI for Interior Design – A Udemy course that teaches designers and homeowners to use AI tools on real projects. 1,200+ learners across 99 countries, rated 4.23. Built because explaining the technology clearly turned out to be as much of the job as building it.

Platform work
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure logging platform – Architected the logging platform used across every OCI service. The customers were internal engineering teams, so most of the work was discovery: pulling requirements out of teams with conflicting priorities and designing integrations they could adopt without rewriting their own services, under enterprise security and compliance rules.
Khan Academy feature deployment – Designed the system that let their team roll features out gradually and pull them back quickly, so experiments never reached students as bugs.

Ad Streamer – A context-aware advertising pipeline matching ads to live conversation with sub-second latency, built on Kafka, Flink, and Elasticsearch.
My Yahoo! – Led a 10-person team on personalization for My Yahoo! and Yahoo! Mail, at a scale of 100M+ users, plus the recommendation systems that decided what each of them saw first.

Yahoo! Universal Sharing Widget – A sharing component every Yahoo property could embed, with configuration, security, and localization handled once instead of eight times.
Hardware and developer tools
Apple HomeKit and CarPlay – Built tooling that streamlined MFi certification for hardware partners, cutting the distance between a finished device and a shipping one. Won an Innovation Award for a HomeKit earthquake notification system.
Earlier products

Preplr – Interview preparation with automated mock interviews and feedback while you answer, built long before that was a product category.
SameFeather – A location-based social network for finding the people near you who care about the same things you do.

I write about how this work actually gets built, including the decision to rebuild InstaRoom from four AI models down to two API calls. Want to talk about a project? Get in touch.
